Jane Geddes became the VP of Talent Relations in WWE in September after working for the LPGA Tour since 2007, first as Senior Director of Tournament Business Affairs then as Vice-President of Competition, and later promoted again to Senior Vice President of Tournament Operations and Players Services.

She was also a talented professional golfer in her 20 year career winning two major Tour Championships; U.S. Women’s Open in 1986 and the Mazda LPGA Championship in 1987.

Since John Laurinaitis resigned as EVP of Talent Relations it has been had to pinpoint who is in charge of hiring and firing, but it as it’s been reported that Geddes made the phone call to tell AW that he was being let go that Geddes is definitely in charge of firing.

‘Big Johnny’ began his behind the scenes career with WWE in 2001 as a road agent, before taking over the role of Vice President of Talent Relations from Jim Ross in 2004. In 2007 he was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President in 2007 and then Executive Vice President in 2009.

During the summer of 2011, ‘Mr Excitement’ was introduced to the television audience, playing a peripheral role in the CM Punk – John Cena storyline.

Later that year he was appointed the interim General Manager of Raw by Vince McMahon.

At No Way Out, Laurinaitis was fired as General Manager of Raw and Smackdown, and as part of the storyline as EVP of Talent Relations as well, after Big Show lost a cage match to John Cena.

However, in June 2012, his profile was removed the WWE Corporate website and now has Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque down overseeing talent relations, amongst over duties. This now means that Laurinaitis is only employed by the company as an on-screen personality.
