Novak joined the WWE when he signed with their developmental territory FCW in 2010.

He then became a rookie on the 4th season of the NXT with his Pro being Dolph Ziggler. Novak’s his televised match was a loss to eventual winner of the show Johnny Curtis.

Novak had the misfortune of being the first rookie to be traded by his Pro when he was traded by ‘The Show Off’ for Chris Masters rookie Byron Saxton after Ziggler won a WWE Pro Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge. Later that night Novak became the first person to be eliminated from the show.

He was then announced to be a part of NXT Redemption in which his WWE Pro would be JTG, he was once again eliminated at the first time of asking. In this short time he changed his look from that of an arrogant playboy to one that more resembled his former Cryme Tyme member Pro.

On June 13, 2011, Jacob Novak was released from WWE.
